Apple iPhone 3g or 3gs?
posted by IphoneSpeedTest in Questions??? asked:
iPhone 3g: Cheap and cheerful, and still pretty amazing, or iPhone 3gs; kind of a lot more money. But is the speed worth it along with the touch focus camera video editing and voice control? Thats about all thats better than the 3g, and yet still i cant decide.

However, I do want things to load quick for when i’m at the bus stop etc.. but could i cope with a 3g? is it exactly slow? Someone help please!
… is it worth the wait for the next model? and how expensive will that be!!

How about neither? We’re less than 6 months from the release of the new model which promises to be a big deal since it’s going to have to address the challenges thrown down by phones like the droid and the soon to be released Google phone.
I just cannot support anyone buying an older iPhone this close to the release date.

I’d wait to see what the next generation of iPhone is, and see if the price for the 3GS drops considerably… Apple has a lot of 3G phones to unload, and no doubt there’ll be lots of 3GS phone inventory for them to sell when the new one comes out.
Perhaps you’ll be able to get the 3GS at a really good price, if the new gen of iPhone isn’t that much better.
