Car ipod connection cable in peugeot 306?

It includes a Full Speed iphone connection cable, which comes from the back of the head unit, how will i be able to get this cable from the back, into the car interior? i have seen them coming out of the glovebox, but i didnt know whether i would be able to drill a hole in the tray above the front ashtray, if you dont know what this looks like it is about the size and width of 4-5 cd cases stacked on top of eachother, and i keep my cd’s in it at the moment. Anyway, do you reacon that drilling a hole in that and having the cable go into there, so i can plug my iphone in there would work?

This requires you to be creative. run the cable down the back of the dash to the floor and then to the center console where it pops up and gives you easy access to it while driving.
