Strangely, I consistently got a higher speed when holding the phone vertically rather than horizontally (landscape) even though my hand was right in front of the antenna (not actually touching) when holding it vertically.

Just tried out my T-MOBILE G1… gave me 375kbps over EDGE and 728kbps over 3G… over wifi I was able to get 14mbps because of my fast fios speed… I think that 728kbps over 3G is a great amount of speed…. haha… G1 killed the iphone once again with the 3G internet speed.. lol!!
